RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

Overview

All flowers supplied by The Florist by the Sea are fresh, made to order, and perishable. Because of this, different terms apply compared to non-perishable goods.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

The below Returns and Refunds policy relates to Daily fresh flower bouquets for delivery. It does not relate to Wedding or Events floristry or any bespoke or corporate floral deliveries.

Perishable Goods

Flowers are a natural, perishable product. Once delivered, they cannot be returned.

Under EU and Irish consumer law, perishable goods such as fresh flowers are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right once delivery has taken place.

Cancellations

Orders for fresh flowers may be cancelled or amended up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery or collection time.

After this point, cancellations may not be possible as flowers will already be prepared.

Quality and Condition

Every bouquet is carefully prepared to a high standard before leaving the studio.

As flowers are natural products:

  • Variations in colour, shape, and size are normal

  • Substitutions may occasionally be required depending on seasonal availability

  • Any substitutions will always be of equal or greater value and consistent with the overall style of the arrangement

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

In the unlikely event that your order arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Incorrect

  • Not as described

please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

To assess the issue, we may request:

  • Photographs of the arrangement as received

  • Order details

Where a valid issue is identified, we will offer one of the following remedies, in line with your statutory rights:

  • Replacement

  • Partial refund

  • Full refund (where appropriate)

All cases are assessed individually.

Delivery Responsibility

We take great care in delivering your flowers in excellent condition.

We cannot accept responsibility where:

  • Incorrect delivery details are provided

  • The recipient is unavailable and no suitable delivery instructions are given

  • Flowers are left in a location requested by the customer or recipient after delivery

  • Damage occurs after successful delivery

Flower Care

Once delivered, the condition and lifespan of flowers depend on how they are cared for.

We recommend:

  • Placing flowers in fresh water immediately

  • Trimming stems on arrival

  • Keeping them in a cool environment away from direct heat or sunlight and fruit (gasses emitted from fruit will rot your fresh flowers in particular from bananas)

We cannot offer refunds for issues arising from improper care after delivery.

Refunds

Refunds are only issued where:

  • A valid issue is identified

  • The claim is made within the stated timeframe

  • Supporting evidence is provided where required

Refunds are processed using the original payment method.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law.
